The Shaolin is an authentic Chinese Junk that was built in Hong Kong in 1965 and has, amoung other things, circumnavigated the world twice! Even better, the new owners have recently restored Shaolin to her former glory. What a great vessel to enjoy for a day out at the beautiful Low Isles.
Your day starts with an 8.30am departure from the Reef Marina (be there 15 minutes early to check in) followed by a unique sailing experience aboard the Shaolin to the Low Isles which are about 17kms from Port Douglas. With a maximum of 23 guests, plenty of deck space and a comfortable lounge area, this really is a day you won’t forget.
The Shaolin has an exclusive mooring in the stunning blue lagoon on the northern side of Low Island – the perfect spot from which to snorkel amongst the coral (including large coral bombies), watch turtles and other sea life, relax on the beach and generally have a fun time. A guided snorkelling tour and snorkelling lessons are also available.
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are all provided and beverages can be purchased on board. Snorkelling equipment and stinger suits (great for sun protection as well) are also provided.
You are back at the Marina around 4pm, ready for a balmy Port Douglas evening recounting your days exploits.
