The Low Isles comprise two islands about 17kms north east of Port Douglas. One of the islands, Woody Island, is a mangrove and coral island and the other, Low Isle, is a picturesque coral cay with sandy beaches, a lighthouse and coral reefs near to shore.
The Windswell stand up paddle (sup) tour transports you and all the equipment on a mother ship out to the Low Isles where you spend the day paddling around Woody Island watching turtles, manta rays and a host of other marine animals in their natural environment, snorkelling on the coral reefs around Low Isle, practicing your stand up paddling skills and frolicking on the beach. It’s a great combination of adventure and fun.
The Windswell crew know all the best spots out on the Low Isles and will guide you around the islands so you get the most from your day there. All your sup equipment is provided, plus snorkelling gear, cold drinks, lunch and the marine park and reef taxes. Just bring some sun protection and a sense of adventure.
This tour is perfect for nature enthusiasts, experienced sup boarders and anyone who wants to try sup boarding for the first time. It really is the perfect place to learn this fun water activity as there is so much to see and do on or off the board.
Low Isle Sup board tours run Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Depart Port Douglas at 7:30am and get back in town at around 3:00pm.
NOTE: There is a minimum of 5 people required for this tour or treat it as a private charter at $1,200.
